Found this to be of use...don't know if I would use it but I can see it being useful to others. If I were more of a "mobile" librarian I would find it supremely useful...but I pretty much use the same desk(s).

Eight and Nine: I'm rollin' fine!

Robot Terror!
When someone says "write about technology" I almost always think of robots going amok. I dunno why. Too many poorly written and imagined sci fi books/movies methinks.
And yet that Super Bowl ad about the poor robot that got his robottish self fired made me almost cry.
But I ramble. I mean "I always ramble..."
Technology such as what we are doing here is as Gov. Arnold would say is "Fantaztik!"
I can't imagine a world without the internet, etc. One now has to choose between new technologies...shall I get my music from an Ipod, from Satellite, from HD Radio?
What do I do with that pile of records? Make wall paper? Where does defunct tech go?
Does anyone want my copy of Meco's "Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk" that I have?(see what it looked like here: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Other-Galactic-Funk/dp/B00000J2TO)
That's actually correct. I owned that album. It beats out the Grease soundtrack I once had and ELO's Disco-very album for most embarrassing record purchases. I would also count the Captain and Tenille's greatest hits that my family had on 8 track (speaking of outmoded tech) but I didn't purchase that...just enjoyed it. Now I did also own all the Who's albums as well as Mssr Springsteen's collection sooo...point in my favor.
In summation, technology rules--unless it is robots that have gone berserk.
However if they are the "fancy a pint down the pub" type robots that have gotten all worked up, why then, it would be just fine with me.
